Here you are asked:The Malagasy organic entrepreneur SYMABIO (Syndicat Malagasy de l’Agriculture Biologique) needs your Agricultural manager expertise to develop an ecological strategy and the associated law. These are important prerequisites for sustainably bringing ecological products (agricultural and forestry products) from Madagascar into the European market in particular. SYMABIO was launched in 2011 on the initiative of some organic entrepreneurs. The association has about 60 members who work in the ecological sector. Its network includes around 5,000 partner producers in rural areas in various regions of Madagascar. In 2018, the organic entrepreneurs’ association SYMABIO asked the Ministry of Agriculture to improve the legal framework for organic farming

These are your tasks as Agricultural manager:

  1. The Agricultural manager Support in feeding important issues into the National Strategy for Organic Agriculture and its implementation plan, such as subsidies for organic certification, taxation, designation of organic farming areas
  2. Strengthening the cooperation between SYMABIO and the political authorities in Madagascar to implement the new organic farming law and accompanying the proposed structures
  3. Agricultural manager Contribute to improving access to the national, regional and international organic market for SYMABIO members
  4. Process support for the creation of a national label BIO Origins Madagascar
  5. Agricultural manager Support in organizational development such as Member management, information and knowledge management, design of decision-making processes, construction of a monitoring system


  1. University degree in agricultural management with a focus on organic farming or another field of study that enables you to practice
  2. Many years of experience in the marketing of organic products from countries in German development cooperation
  3. Many years of experience in association work and cooperation with ministries
  4. Experience in drafting legislation
  5. Very good French
