1. Business Development Manager
- Enlarge the range of stakeholder financial contribution to WASCAL activities
- Drive partnership and business development strategies to increase revenue of WASCAL by finding new opportunities, researching leads and establishing relationships with potential sponsors.
- Support the organisations of strategic fundraising and partnerships development events (Donors roundtable, Stakeholders conference, etc.)
- Build infrastructure, processes, and best practices to support the work of partnership and business development, including the introduction of tools and systems as needed
- Work collaboratively with the Executive Director and Executive Management Team to define and/or refine fundraising strategies
- Set, measure, and reach goals, plans for the partnerships, business development and WASCAL climate services
- Support the preparation of regular stakeholders’ conference and strategic meetings on fundraising
- Support the process engaged by WASCAL for the accreditation to the environment funds (Green climate Fund and the GEF) as well as other relevant international networks
- Support WASCAL for the development of projects portfolio (concepts notes, and proposals writing and implementation and climate services implementation)
· Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
· Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
· Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities with bilateral, multilateral partners and private actors.
· Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills
· Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

2.Communications Officer

· Support the development and implementation of the Renewable Energy Research Theme Communications Strategy and plans.
· Develop and manage stakeholder and consortium database through dissemination of information
· Provide visibility of the WASCAL Renewable Energy Project through media relations in the West African sub-region
· Coordinate communication and dissemination actions, events and workshops to stakeholders
· Contribute to and coordinate project report writing
· Produce annual technical and financial reports of the Renewable Energy project as required by the donors.
· Coordinate the translation technical project information into the different languages of four member countries and partners as deems necessary
· Develop and produce marketing and publicity materials to be used for various activities
· Create and manage web page and social media accounts of each projects of the Research theme
· Contribute to the communication efforts of WASCAL at the competence Center
· Any other activity that may be assigned
3. Regional Thematic Coordinator for Renewable Energy Project

Coordinate all Renewal Energy Priority theme and related initiatives
· The Climate change Jobs-Identify enabling factors and facilitate the scaling up of the countries pilot projects across the subregion
· Develop Renewable Energy theme-related services to respond to countries needs
· Conceptualize the needs of the countries and the region in partnerships with ECREEE in a comprehensive review report
· Support the strategy of sustainable renewable energy supply for West Africa including research-development and capacity building
· Stakeholders consultation within countries
· Organize feasibility studies in WASCAL member countries **
· Monitor and evaluate program/project performance against contract requirements, keep tracks of deliverables, and other performance goals, participate in the analysis and reporting for impact assessment
· Lead the drafting and the submission of grant proposals and coordinate recruitment and manage integration of a new staff members as needed
· Synthetize output from programs and or projects and identify salient results
· Lead the development of Renewable Energy priority theme information relevant for WASCAL member countries sectors and communities as well as regional political bodies
· Identify, develop and implement ways of improving access to, and use of CES for sectors, communities and regional political bodies
· Develop tools, approaches and products for effective delivery of CES and integration to day-to-day activities with support from the data management department of WASCAL
· Establish training guidelines on technical aspects of CES, organize stakeholder engagement workshops and prepare communication materials for dissemination
· Provide scientific analysis and interpretation to support the timely delivery of the results and output
· Contribute to knowledge products (reports, briefs, data products, scientific publications)
· Carry out research, when relevant (e.g. in the framework of the project), and deliver science that can be used in practice by the West African adaptation community
