Term position until 30 November 2024 – Nairobi, Kenya
As the Senior Program Officer, you will take the lead on research that focuses on quality and scientific merit, supporting policy development and implementation for the Uptake Strategy, facilitate program learning and synthesis in capacity-building initiatives and manage the GrOW East Africa program.
Overview of Qualifications
· Education – PhD and a record of research and publication in a relevant social science discipline, or a Masters degree in a relevant discipline with an additional two years of qualifying experience.
· Experience – Amongst others, women’s economic empowerment which involves the management of research programs and working in developing regions, particularly in East Africa.
· Language requirements – Fluency in English
· Knowledge – Amongst others, knowledge of current debates and research agendas and policy priorities in the areas of women’s economic empowerment, care economy, and gender equality in East Africa
