The ACRA Foundation is an Italian NGO created in 1968 and recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European Union. ACRA works in several countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia. ACRA has been working in Senegal since 1984 mainly in the areas of water, sanitation, migration, food security, energy and education.


ACRA is looking for a Program Coordinator and multi-actor education campaign for the project “DEECLIQ: Decide on Education for Children with Disabilities through Free Choices and an Inclusive Quality Approach” funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) in Dakar within the framework of the PERSEI Initiative – “Programma integrato per la promozione di un sistema educativo inclusivo”.


The project, managed in consortium by ACRA as Lead Partner and three international partners and two local, aims to strengthen, in complementarity with the Ministry of National Education, the inclusive education offer of Senegal through an improvement of the quality of education on the basis of international standards, institutional strengthening and community participation. The action lasts 24 months and will span 5 regions: Dakar, Sedhiou, Kolda, Kaolack and Kaffrine.


Figure sought: Program coordinator and multi-actor education campaign Destination: Senegal. Workplaces: Dakar with mission in Sedhiou, Kolda, Kaolack and Kaffrine. . Salary depending on experience Contract duration: 12 months (renewable) Departure: October 2020 Main tasks and functions: § Plan the implementation and monitoring of the project;

§ Coordinate activities in close synergy with partners, local / government authorities and CSOs involved;

§ Manage the recruitment, selection and management of team members;

§ Missions on intervention sites; § Convene and chair regular meetings with project staff and partners; § Maintain appropriate relations with the AICS office in Dakar and with the government of Senegal; § Prepare periodic reports on project activities;

§ Supervision of narrative and financial reports presented to the lessor;

**§ Coordinate the various components of the massive and multi-channel awareness campaign (BCC) (radio, TV, social media, etc.), including the community component in the 5 intervention regions (schools, villages). ** Qualifications and experiences required:

§ Previous qualifying experience in the role of program coordinator in the context of international cooperation;

§ Experience of at least 5 years in the field of inclusive education for children at risk of exclusion and with disabilities (coordination and project management, studies …);

§ Experience in conducting awareness campaigns in development projects;

§ Proven experience in the presentation and management of project proposals to institutional donors (AICS, EU, decentralized cooperation, etc.);

§ Diploma in matters related to international cooperation and / or in economic matters; § Excellent knowledge of French (C1) and Italian; § Good knowledge of accounting and administrative management;

§ Good command of IT tools (Office pack, internet, e-mail, accounting software, etc.);

§ Interest and motivation to work in a non-governmental organization respecting its principles and values;
