About the role
To lead the implementation of the Burkina Faso country programme on Gender and Inequalities, supporting and managing the country partnership portfolio and programmes, ensuring the effective allocation and disbursement of funds to partners and the effective technical support. Also, this role will monitor and report the programme development managed information systems and data-files and active supporting to policy, advocacy, fundraising and communication work internally and externally regarding Christian Aid’s strategy on gender and inequality.
About you
The new role of Senior Programme Officer Gender & Inequalities will be overseeing the thematic area across the entire programme in Burkina Faso. He or she will support the development of the new programmes addressing gender and/or inequalities issues within the Standing Together Global Strategy. He/she will provide technical guidance and support to partners working on gender and inequality and will ensure that program reporting is complete and of good quality in accordance with Christian Aid and donor requirements. He/she will be responsible for grant management and disbursement of funds to partners including compliance with donors. He/she will also provide technical guidance and support to Christian Aid staff. He/ She will be supervised by the Programme Manager and also work closely with the Senior Management Team and colleagues in the gender and policy team of the Africa Division, the United Kingdom.
